The things needed to create an Echo: voice recordings, the answers to the questions someone chooses to share, and basic details about the person being preserved. Nothing more than what the experience requires.
For one purpose — to preserve a person's presence so the people who love them can experience it again. We don't sell what you share, and we don't repurpose it for anything outside of creating and caring for the Echo you asked us to build.
What you entrust to us is stored securely and handled with care. Access is limited, recordings are safeguarded, and we treat every voice as what it is — an irreplaceable part of someone's life. Stewardship is not a step in our process; it is the whole of it.
You give consent before anything begins, and that consent is yours to keep or withdraw. You can pause, withdraw, export your data, or ask us to delete an Echo — at any time. Control does not expire, and it never leaves your hands.
To be transparent about what we do, to steward what you share with dignity, and to treat every Echo as a human presence rather than a piece of data. Trust is not something we expect. It is something we intend to earn, and keep.

We'd rather answer that honestly than pretend it away. Eternal Echoes is being built around long-term stewardship, not short-term convenience. The stories a family entrusts to us belong to that family — not to us, and not to any single platform.
That belief shapes what we're building. We are designing Eternal Echoes so that families can export their recordings and answers and take them elsewhere — so that a legacy is never locked inside one company's walls. Data portability and export are part of our roadmap, and part of how we think a stewardship-first product should behave.
We want to be careful not to overpromise. Some of these capabilities are planned rather than finished today, and we won't claim a guarantee we can't yet stand behind. What we can commit to now is the principle: your family remains in control of your stories, and we will keep working to make that control real, durable, and independent of us.
